When he got to the Alabama Supreme Court, Moore dealt with the case of a lesbian mother who had asked for custody of her three children because her ex-husband was physically abusing them after a court of appeals reversed a trial court decision that denied her request because it held that the father’s abuse was just “occasional excessive disciplinary measures” while criticizing the mother’s “lifestyle.”

In overturning the court decision, the court of appeals had held that the mother “had presented substantial evidence” of the father’s “verbal, emotional, and physical abuse.”

I just missed any possibility of meeting Marsha Johnson in person by a matter of hours, but, in a sense, we formed a loose, posthumous bond.

Due to a series of errors in judgment centered around a classic case of unrequited love, I spent part of the summer of 1992 in Greenwich Village in New York. On the day of her funeral, there was a procession from the church to the Hudson, and I was in the gathering by the spot where she had supposedly jumped. Nowhere in the New Testament is Joseph’s age mentioned. So where the idea that he was an adult and much older than Mary, a mere child, is based on pictures painted centuries after the life of Jesus.

So who lied, the angel back in the day, or Ziegler now in a desperate attempt to defend a child molester?

If Jesus is the product of sexual activity between Mary and Joseph, not only does the virgin birth fall apart, but in order to have been the Son of God, Joseph has been given a serious upgrade.

It would seem that as the Nativity story is dependent on the divine parentage and a virgin birth, Christians have begun their own war on Christmas and their own belief system.
