He believes, while pushing a pro-Christian agenda, that “theologically-based Sharia law fundamentally conflicts with our magnificent constitutional order that separates church and state, and that considers free debate and dissent the way to a better world.”
Sessions was among the first to support Trump’s Muslim Ban because he claimed that immigrants to the United States pose a particular threat.

Sessions regularly attends events hosted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which was founded by John Tanton, a white nationalist who in 1993 wrote,

FAIR’s mission is to severely limit immigration into the United States, and its president, Dan Stein, once said that supporters of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, which abolished the racist national origins quotas that favored immigrants of European descent, wanted to “retaliate against Anglo-Saxon dominance” and that this “revengism” against whites had created a policy that is causing “chaos and will continue to create chaos.”
Sessions attends FAIR’s annual “Hold Their Feet to the Fire”, a gathering of anti-immigrant Islamaphobes, and has been the keynote speaker at FAIR’s advisory board meeting.
