She might not want to admit it, but Liz Cheney will eventually have to admit that what the rest of us have been seeing is, indeed, how it is.

Comfortable in their own stupidity, Republicans assume it is a common trait among all humans.

It’s not.

Representative Paul Gosar of Arizona got upset during debate on honoring the police officers who saved the collective butts from both chambers because FBI Director Christopher Wray would not reveal the name of the police officer who was involved in the shooting of Ashli Babbitt, one of four rioters who died during the events of 6 January to the oversight committee during hearings.

Obviously considering that January 6 is not really over, and those who still feel they are protecting the country from imagined attackers, as opposed the real ones, might seek revenge on that officer and their family, there is a good reason to not reveal the name.

However, overlooking this, Gosar said,

“It’s disturbing. The Capitol Police officer that did that shooting appeared to be hiding, lying in wait and then gave no warning before killing her.”

That is not what was seen on video. While the officer was in a blockaded hallway to protect the congressmen in the offices beyond the door, Air Force veteran Babbitt angrily demanded that officers withdraw from a barricaded door while attempting to breach the shattered door. A police officer fires, striking her in the left shoulder. She died of her injuries.

But to Gosar the officer’s name needs to be made public and he should face the consequences. The police officer was, to the representative, merely a coward killing an innocent tourist.

We have already seen videos and photos of one congressman who claimed that the insurrectionists were no different than calm well behaved tourist helping to block the entrance to the House chamber and running to cower safely behind a line of seats for protection, so this additional guy who has taken to calling the capitol police officer a coward, was, apparently, one too many for Liz Cheney to let slide.

She tweeted,

“On January 6, as the violent mob advanced on the House chamber, I was standing near Rep. Gosar and helped him open his gas mask. The Capitol Police led us to safety. It is disgusting and despicable to see Gosar lie about that day and smear the men and women who defended us.”

According to the Trump Justice Department has found that

“The investigation revealed no evidence to establish beyond a reasonable doubt that the officer wilfully committed a violation of federal civil rights statutes.”

So much for the Republican Back the Blue.
