Rand Paul is just losing his mind

During the Democratic debate, even if their ideas were a little weak on certain issues, the candidates talked about the issues, not each other.

Not so with the Republican debate.

It was obvious from the reactions the day after both debates that voters wanted to hear about issues.

Some GOP candidates either did not notice that, or simply ignored that.

Take Rand Paul, for instance.

Rather than address what Bernie Sanders had to say, the things he actually said, not the imaginary free stuff he promises American in the minds of those who occupy GOP Land, he went after Sanders with some real left field stuff.

During an interview on a South Carolina radio show, Rand Paul said that if Bernie Sanders won, the United States faced genocide.

[Sanders’ socialism] “scares me… I’ve been making and spending more time going after Bernie and socialism because I don’t want America to succumb to the notion that there’s anything good about socialism.
I think it’s not an accident of history that most of the times when socialism has been tried, that attendant with that has been mass genocide of people or any of those who object to it. Stalin killed tens of millions of people, Mao killed tens of millions of people. Pol Pot killed millions of people.
When you have a command economy, when everything is dictated from one authority, that’s socialism. But it doesn’t come easily to those who resist it.”

Oooooo, scary.

But not all socialism is like that of Stalin, Mao, or Pol Pot.

As Sanders explained,

“What democratic socialism means to me, is having a government which represents all people, rather than just the wealthiest people, which is most often the case right now in this country.”

As he once asked,

“Does anyone here think I’m a strong adherent of the North Korean form of government? That I want all of you to be wearing similar-colored pajamas?”

One way to explain the difference is that while in the communist system, ala Stalin and Mao, the government theoretically owns everything in the people’s name, Democratic Socialists want a system where workers or the government own factories and other means of production.

Of the more than 2,600 U.S. companies that are owned by nearly 710,000 employees, the top ten are:
Do Not Ignore ED Many men are embarrassed about being impotent, and as a result, they might want to sweep it under the rug and pretend that it does not steps back from showing you the best possible effects. online prescription viagra Many people love to smoke hookah in their generic sale viagra day to day basis. -WinCo Foods of Boise, Indiana whose 15,000 employees own the supermarkets.

-Houchens Industries Supermarkets and other services out of Bowling Green, Kentucky, owned by its 15,300 employees .

-Amsted Industries Industrial Components of Chicago, Illinois, owned by its 16,000 employees.

-Penmac Staffing of Springfield, Missouri, owned by its 18,000 employees.

-Price Chopper Supermarkets of Schenectady, New York, owned by its 23,000 employees.

-Hy-Vee Supermarkets from West Des Moines, Iowa, owned by its 69,000 employees.

-Publix Super Markets out of Lakeland, Florida, whose supermarkets are owned by its 160,000 employees.

And of all these, and the other 2,590 unlisted employee owned companies, none have been participants in mass killings.

Sanders wants to follow in the footsteps of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was also called a socialist, and is still called that by some of the very people he saved during the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl, people who welcomed the help.

In spite of Rand Paul’s invoking of the worst in socialism, which is actually him purposely confusing Socialism with Communism, counties such as Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, New Zealand, and Belgium are socialist countries devoid of genocide.

While the system that Rand Paul wants us to believe Bernie Sanders subscribes to, a system that is totalitarian, Sanders is more in line with a participatory democracy where all individuals should have access to public goods to allow for self-actualization.

Rand Paul is wielding Socialism hoping to be as scary as those who freely compare those they do not agree with to Hitler.

Hopefully, people, especially the younger generation who needs to vote if they want a livable future, will not be fooled by this game.

Rand Paul is desperate at this point to stay viable in the race to the White House, and is relying on desperate measures to do that.
