The Republican recipe

IMAG0190

It seems no matter what the reality is, for some reason known to neither God nor man, anything negative said about Hillary Clinton has to be true merely because someone said it.

The worst part of this is that people on the Left repeat what they are told by people on the Right without thinking about what they are told, how much truth there actually is to it, and who is telling them things. It is as if they want to believe she is dishonest, and, knowing this, the Right is more than willing to feed them what they want to hear to justify what they want to believe.

Since her husband was elected president and she played a major role in his attempt to improve health care, Hillary has needed to be stopped because she did not keep her place. She wasn’t the demure Dolly Madison first lady, and an uppity woman was too hard to take.

Since 1992 the right has accused her of any number of crimes which did not stick as an accusation must be backed up with evidence, evidence they did not have.

And if you watched any part of the first three nights of the RNC convention it was obvious that in spite of charges not being backed with evidence and, therefore, dropped, speaker after speaker repeated them as if true, and the attendees, and probably many people watching at home, simply agreed.

I went through a period where a school administrator accused me of a number of acts of insubordination which were repeatedly shown to have been untrue, and in at least two cases impossible as I was not on campus on the days of the alleged offenses, but when it came to a court case the administrator actually presented these discredited accusations as proof that I had a pattern of behavior when it came to insubordination.

The reality was that the pattern of behavior was her continuing accusations that replaced each of the previous ones as they were shown to be fabricated, and this was recognized by the court.

I see this happening with Hillary.

For the benefit of those, especially those on the left, who nodded in agreement each time one of Hillary’s alleged offenses was listed, these are statements made so far during the convention that are patently false.

Sadly because they were uttered, people will just accept them as true. After all, why would those who want to weaken Hillary because their own candidate is so bad not use the gullibility of people to do that especially when they have already seen how effective this approach has been with people on the Left?

According to Michael Tomasky of the Daily Beast,

“The Republican recipe: Take an ambiguous set of facts. Add in some innuendo. Arrange the facts in the most suspicious-seeming way. Then level an allegation that cannot be disproven.”

None of the above claims and statements are actually true, but someone said them, so they must be.

And, sadly, some people on the left will believe them.
