God rolls the dice

I lived for a number of years in a tornado prone state.

The first few tornadoes that happened while I was there hit mostly sparsely populated rural areas, so much of the damage was limited to a few houses, a couple of barns, and the tops of trees.

Then one tornado came ripping through a densely populated area just south of the city where I lived destroying homes and businesses, and demolishing an elementary school.

Surprisingly for a state hit often by tornadoes, although individuals might have had storm shelters, schools hadn’t until very recently, depending on the district, so at this elementary school there were a number of deaths.

I was somewhat horrified when during news coverage about the school, the parents whose children were spared praised God for sparing their children and declaring they were blessed by His love. Meanwhile television news coverage often contained shots taken at a respectful distance of grieving parents who were obviously not blessed and whose children for some reason were apparently not loved by God.
However, the most effective and successful method of treatment for impotence is the use of dairy products, citrus, meat, vegetable oils generic cialis india etc. This way you viagra online generic not only save upon the time but also upon the money. My depression and urge to make everything right made me explore the discount levitra market for options. It gives a sweetie, apple flavour to semen if levitra australia online taken regularly.
At the same time the happy stories of survival were often referred to as miracles and signs of God’s love, like the woman whose dog climbed out of the rubble of her destroyed home while the news cameras were covering the post tornado clean up. One has to wonder how the parents of lost children must feel when people all around them are pointing out that they and their children are the chosen ones, and of all the miracles that could have been performed, instead of saving all the children, God chose to save a dog.

The implication was that the lost children were not worthy, and this made me wonder what it was that six and seven year olds could have done that was so bad God let them die.

Preachers, politicians, and even the supposedly dispassionate press kept up with the God so love certain children he saved them while allowing the others to be taken by an act of nature.

It always seemed so wrong to me.

Now there is Hurricane Matthew, and we will once again be told whom God loves, and whom He rejects.
