In August 2020, as he and his wife left the convention center at the Republican National Convention, Rand Paul was surrounded by angry protesters demanding social justice and law enforcement reform. If this expressing of one’s opinion could happen at the Republican National Convention, it could happen anywhere as Paul explained,

“You’ve seen the pictures of what they do to you. If the police are not there, if you defund the police, if we become Portland, if America becomes Portland, what’s going to happen is people are going to be pummeled and kicked in the head and left senseless on the curb. That would have happened to us, I promise you, had we not had the D.C. Police to support us, we are thankful we have police, and we’ve got to wake up. We can’t have the whole country, we can’t have Joe Biden rule the country and have no police. I mean, we can’t walk down the street in D.C. safely now. That’s how bad it is.”

“This is the new Democratic Party, and if we don’t resist this, the United States is going to become Portland. We’re going to become Chicago. All of these failed cities Democrats have run, the president said in his speech. If we allow them to take over the White House, we are going to become Portland, the country will be on fire, we have to have law and order and we have to support the police. I can’t say that strong enough.”

He was serious. People exercising freedom of speech and assembly are a threat to this country.

When it came to the marches and activism of Black Lives Matter, he found fault with their largely peaceful protests by explaining,

“I think they should change their name maybe – if they were All Lives Matter, or Innocent Lives Matter. I am about justice, and frankly I think a lot of poor people in our country, and many African Americans, are trapped in this war on drugs, and I want to change it, but commandeering the microphone, and bullying people, and pushing people out of the way – I think that really isn’t a way to get their message across.”

The truckers who had had their caravan in Canada are now saying that this could be a cross country event in the United States going from Los Angeles to Washington DC which could create a lot of traffic clogging along the way as many states have major cities along the East/West cross continental Southern route.

But since the caravan is protesting mask and vaccine mandates and could annoy Dr. Fauci, I guess, Paul not only has no problem with it but seems to be promoting it.

He has become his own little chapter of ANTIFA if such a thing actually existed.

He hopes any such convoy would “clog” the streets of American cities.

“I’m all for it. Civil disobedience is a time-honored tradition in our country, from slavery to civil rights, to you name it. Peaceful protest, clog things up, make people think about the mandates. I hope the truckers do come to America, and I hope they clog up cities.”

Anti-fascists, Black people tired of the status quo vs truck drivers who favor Confederate flags even in a foreign country, Canada.

I get it.
