It’s the Mercan way

If you can raise a lot of money for refusing to bake wedding cakes or catering a Gay wedding with pizza, why not try this money making scheme for other reasons?

Continuing with the basic premise that, if you hate someone, those who hate them too will give you money, Jon Ritzheimer, the man who organized the anti-Muslim event in Phoenix, which didn’t attract as many like minded people as he had hoped, and which actually had some of those who had hated Muslims see them as people and change their minds, opened a GoFundMe account hoping to raise $10 million for the safety of his family that has yet to be threatened.

The money will go towards fortifying his house and getting whatever is necessary to make his family feel safe again.

He graciously noted that whatever was left over from the $10 million that was needed to do this would be donated to a children’s hospital, which sounds good until you realize he hopes to get the money first and, then, see what the security would cost.

A rather open ended proposition.

So the money for the children’s hospital goes down a little more.

GoFundMe decided that there was something a little off in this as his claim that he needed the money to protect his family was not supported by any actual threats.

He also could have kept them safe for free if he hadn’t been so asinine.

He isn’t discouraged, though, as he tweeted,
“Okay, so my campaign is under review. It’s not totally dead in the water. Someone probably reported it but according to their terms this should not be shut down so let’s hope they free it up soon”.

The children’s hospital would obviously get even fewer funds if Mr. Ritzheimer had paid for commas.
